What does Impact Ventures Global do?
Impact Ventures Global is an operating company that builds businesses around real customer demand. At the moment, we are working across software, digital services and commerce. We use technology and AI where they help us deliver a better result.
Are you an operator, investor, venture studio, or holding company?
We are an operating company, so we are hands-on in running the businesses. Over time, we aim to build a holding company. If one of the businesses becomes strong enough to stand on its own, we are open to spinning it out as a separate company.
Are you an AI company?
We would not describe ourselves as an AI company. We are human-driven, and we use AI where it helps us deliver a better solution. It is one of our capabilities, not the company identity.
How large is the company, and do you do everything in-house?
Our core team has fewer than 10 people. We keep the core team lean and work with a trusted network of long-term independent specialists across different disciplines when we need additional expertise.
The core team leads the strategy, operations and decision-making. For specialised execution across different verticals, we work with reliable long-term independent specialists, and Impact remains responsible for the final outcome.
How do you decide what to build?
We start with what customers actually need. When a new opportunity comes up, the core team discusses it carefully before deciding whether it is something we should pursue.
The industries are different, but the way we decide is the same. We start with a real customer problem, check whether there is demand, and then build the right solution: software, a service or a commerce business.
Where are you based, and are you raising money?
We are fully remote at the moment. For services, our initial focus is Bangkok, Singapore and Hong Kong.
We are currently bootstrapped and plan to remain that way for now.
